Ordering & Timelines

How do I order a custom gift?

Start by choosing the gift style that feels like the best fit on our Gift Collection Page. Next, submit a gift request form with your theme, colours, timeline, sizing details, and any special requests. I’ll review your request and follow up with a quote, timeline, and next steps.

How far in advance should I order?

Please allow at least 14 days whenever possible. Each gift is personally curated and may require time to source pieces that match your theme, colour palette, size, and gift style.

Do you take rush orders?

Orders needed in less than 14 days are considered rush orders and may be available for a $30 rush fee, depending on timing, theme, and item availability.

When will I receive my quote?

I’ll follow up by email within 24–48 hours after your request is submitted.

When is payment required?

Once your gift is confirmed, payment is completed through a secure Shopify invoice. Full payment is required before sourcing begins, since each gift is curated specifically for your order.

Gift Options

What is a Curated Mix?

A Curated Mix gift may include both new items and carefully selected excellent-condition sourced or consignment pieces.

This helps keep the starting price lower while allowing more flexibility with theme matching, colour palettes, sizing, and overall presentation. Any sourced pieces are chosen carefully for quality, condition, colour, and how well they fit the final gift.

All clothing and washable sourced items are washed before being styled in the gift.

Do Curated Mix pieces include Little Laine tags?

Yes. Curated Mix clothing pieces are finished with a small Little Laine Gifting tag to show they were selected, washed, and styled with care.

These tags are part of the gift presentation and help make each sourced piece feel intentional, cohesive, and ready to give. They do not mean the item was made by Little Laine Gifting.

What does all-new mean?

All-new gifts are created using only brand-new items. These options may have a higher starting price because every clothing piece, book, blanket, plush, accessory, and baby item is purchased new for your order.

Will my gift look exactly like the photos?

Photos are examples of past custom gifts. Each gift is curated individually, so exact items, colours, clothing, books, plush, and accessories will vary depending on your chosen theme, size, availability, and final quote.

What is the difference between Mini baskets and Signature crates?

Mini baskets are smaller custom gifts arranged in a basket-style presentation.

Signature crates are larger display-style gifts with hanging clothing pieces, themed details, and a more structured crate presentation.

What is the Signature Outfit Crate?

The Signature Outfit Crate is focused on five complete clothing looks. These may include coordinated top-and-bottom pairings or finished one-piece outfits such as rompers, dresses, or jumpsuits. This option is created as a Curated Mix to allow more flexibility with sizing, season, and outfit matching.

Why do prices vary between gift styles?

Pricing depends on the gift style, whether the items are Curated Mix or all-new, the number of clothing pieces, plush selection, books, accessories, theme complexity, and item availability. Larger display-style gifts and gifts with only brand-new items usually require more sourcing and higher item costs.

Can I request a gift that is not listed?

Yes. If you have something in mind that does not fit one listing exactly, you’re welcome to inquire.

Some custom requests may involve combining details from different gift styles, adjusting the theme, or creating something slightly different from the listed options. I’ll do my best to work with your idea where timing, sourcing, budget, and availability allow.

If the request would be better suited to a different gift style, I’ll let you know when I follow up with your quote and next steps.

Themes & Custom Requests

Can I choose a specific theme?

Yes. You can request a specific theme, colour palette, nursery style, animal, hobby, season, or meaningful detail. A few examples include teddy bear, dinosaur, farm animals, under the sea, floral, garden, butterfly, ballet, neutral, pastel, or storybook-inspired themes.

What themes are easier to source?

Themes that can be built through colour, texture, and commonly available prints are usually the easiest to source. This often includes themes like dinosaurs, bears, farm animals, lions, under the sea, or gifts based around a soft colour palette such as pink, blue, green, beige, cream, or pastels.

These themes usually offer more flexibility, which can help keep the final quote closer to the starting price.

What themes may require more sourcing or a higher quote?

More specific themes may require extra sourcing time or higher-cost items, especially if the request depends on exact characters, very specific colours, or harder-to-find pieces.

This can include themes such as fairies, certain licensed characters, specific children’s shows, book-inspired themes, or requests where many items need to match one precise motif.

Examples may include Sesame Street, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Winnie-the-Pooh, Peter Rabbit, Disney-inspired themes, or other character/book-based ideas.

These themes are still welcome, but the final quote may be higher depending on item availability, licensing, brand options, shipping, and how specific the request is.

Can I send inspiration photos?

Yes. Inspiration photos are welcome and can be helpful for understanding the style, colours, or feeling you want. The final gift will not be an exact copy, but I’ll use your inspiration to guide the overall theme and presentation.

Can I request a specific item or brand?

Yes. Specific item or brand requests are welcome where budget, timing, and availability allow. I’ll confirm any requests that may affect the final quote before sourcing begins.

What if I only have a general idea?

That is completely fine. You do not need to have the full theme planned. A colour palette, nursery style, favourite animal, or a few details about the recipient is enough to start.

Clothing, Diapers & Sizing

Can I choose a clothing size?

Yes. If you would like the clothing pieces to stay within a specific size range, you can include that on the gift request form.

Common options include newborn, 0–3 months, 3–6 months, 6–12 months, and 12–18 months.

Is a size range better than one exact size?

Yes, whenever possible. A size range gives me more flexibility to source pieces that best match the theme, colours, season, and overall gift style.

If you’re unsure, choosing a slightly larger size range is often a practical option, since it gives the baby room to grow into the pieces.

What if I’m not sure what clothing size to choose?

That’s completely fine. You can include the baby’s age, due date, expected season, or any details you know, and I’ll help choose a practical size range for the gift.

When in doubt, a flexible size range or a slightly larger size is usually best.

Can I choose a diaper size?

Yes. If the gift includes diapers, you can request a preferred diaper size on the form.

Diaper prints and patterns can vary by size, especially with patterned brands, so I’ll choose the best fit based on the preferred size, the baby’s needs, and the overall theme.

Can I request a different diaper brand?

Yes. Some gifts include a patterned diaper pack, usually from The Honest Company, chosen to coordinate with the theme when available. If you prefer a different diaper brand, you’re welcome to include that in your request and I’ll do my best to accommodate it.

Can I request personalized or name items?

Personalized items may be available by request, but they usually require extra time and may increase the final quote.

If you’re interested in adding a name, monogram, or custom personalized item, please include that in your request. I’ll confirm whether it’s possible based on the timeline, availability, and final gift style before sourcing begins.

Pickup & Delivery

Where can I find pickup and delivery details?

Pickup, delivery, and balloon details are explained on the Pickup & Delivery page, including the general pickup area, delivery radius, delivery pricing, and balloon timing.

When will I receive the exact pickup address?

For privacy, the exact pickup address is not listed publicly. It will be shared after your quote is confirmed and payment has been completed.

What if I’m not sure whether delivery is available to me?

You can include your town or postal code in your gift request, and I’ll confirm delivery availability with your quote.

Can special pickup or delivery arrangements be requested?

Yes. You’re welcome to include any timing, pickup, or delivery needs in your request.

Special arrangements may not always be possible, but I’ll do my best to find an option that works for your needs, timeline, location, and gift style where availability allows.

Depending on the request, distance, timing, or extra coordination needed, special arrangements may affect the final quote.

Refund Policy & Order Adjustments

Can adjustments be made before I confirm my gift?

Yes. While we are discussing your quote, nothing is final yet. Adjustments can be made before sourcing begins to better suit your theme, timeline, preferences, or budget.

All gifts begin at the minimum price listed for that gift style, but the final quote may vary depending on the theme, item availability, selected brands, sizing, rush timing, delivery needs, and any specific requests.

If your request is likely to increase the quote, I’ll explain that before anything is confirmed.

Can I make changes after submitting my request?

Yes. You can make changes while we are still discussing your quote and before sourcing begins.

Once your gift has been confirmed and sourcing has started, changes may be limited depending on what has already been purchased, selected, or arranged.

When is my gift considered confirmed?

Your gift is considered confirmed once we have agreed on the gift style, quote, timeline, and main details, and payment has been completed through a secure Shopify invoice.

Sourcing and styling begin after payment is complete.

Are refunds available?

Each gift is custom-curated and sourced specifically for your order.

Once sourcing has begun, refunds are not available. Items may be purchased, reserved, or selected specifically for your chosen theme, colour palette, size, timeline, and gift details.

Will I see the gift before pickup or delivery?

A preview photo will be sent before pickup or delivery when requested.

If there is an issue, I’ll do my best to make small adjustments where timing and availability allow.

What if an item becomes unavailable?

If an item becomes unavailable, I’ll choose the closest suitable option based on the theme, colour palette, quality, and final quote.

If the change significantly affects the design or price, I’ll confirm it with you before moving forward.

Gift Care Kits

What is a Gift Care Kit?

Gift Care Kits are included with Signature crate gifts to help keep the display looking its best after pickup or delivery.

Depending on the gift style, the kit may include a printed reference photo of the finished crate, extra ribbon, extra hangers, styling fasteners, or small materials used in the original presentation.

Why is a Gift Care Kit included?

Signature crates are styled as display-style gifts, and small shifts can happen during transport.

Items are not glued down, so the gift can still be opened and enjoyed without difficulty. The Gift Care Kit is included to make it easier to gently restyle the crate if any clothing pieces or presentation details shift before the gift is given.

Do Mini baskets include a Gift Care Kit?

Gift Care Kits are generally included with Signature crate gifts, where the presentation is more structured and may include hanging clothing pieces or styling details.

Mini baskets are arranged in a simpler basket-style presentation and usually do not require a care kit.

Does the Gift Care Kit mean the gift is fragile?

No. It is simply included as an extra support for larger styled gifts. Since the items are arranged for presentation rather than permanently attached, the care kit helps keep the gift looking thoughtful, polished, and ready to present.
